GRANGEVILLE, IDAHO

Last weekend I had a great time when visiting the Grangeville Idaho church. Just a few months ago the church was slated to close down and to put the property up for sale, but God had different plans. Pastor Rick Payton has stepped in and is taking the church into a new future. Pastor Payton along with his wife Debbie are casting a vision to reach Grangeville and God is bringing along side them others who are catching the vision. The future is bright for the work of God in Grangeville, Idaho.

NEW HORIZONS COG

I had the privilege of rededicating the New Horizons Church in Shelton Washington May, 30th. Pastor Gary and Mandy Eklund have lead the church through an extensive five year remodeling effort. Nearly every department has been renovated, as well as the parsonage. Congratulations Pastor Eklund on a job well done.  If you would like to read more about the New Horizons COG, click here.  To view pictures of the renovation, click here.

The Private Pain Before Public Gain

Before God blesses your ministry publicly, he’ll often allow you to suffer with integrity privately. Personal pain often precedes pubic gain. A.W. Tozer said, “It is doubtful that God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.” Scripture seems to imply that God will often test us before God blesses us. He wants to know if we’ll be faithful before giving us more. If you are facing private pain, rejoice that God might be preparing you for ministry gain.

CAMP MEETING

For some time I have been thinking about the need to update the name of Camp Meeting. I would like to kick it out to the Regional Council for your input. This would not be for 2009, but for 2010. If there is a change, the new name will need to reflect the region, as well as speak to the event's mission and desired outcome. If changed what would be your suggestions?
